Unlike those two QUALITY series, Soul Eater has awesome animation, courtesy of Studio Bones. Unfortunately, most of the retarded shounen action on air right now is crap like Naruto and Bleach. Soul Eater is awesome! I love action series, I love retarded shounen action. I love the feel of this series, I think that's helped by a really awesome soundtrack, as well. It's set during the truce of a war between two countries. They remind me of one of my favorite anime pairs of all time, the lovely Haruhi and Kyon from The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. I think what I like the most is the dynamic between the two main characters. I was convinced it was going to be awesome. As of the time of writing, though, my downloads still haven't finished and I have nothing to say about these two yet.ĭangodaikazoku Allison & Lillia was one of my major picks for the season. I've also decided to pick up Nijuu Mensou no Musume and Toshokan Sensou. The goofy characters are so much fun, too. I loved the Halloween-y feel of the series, and the really smoothly animated fight sequences. Soul Eater is some pretty awesome shit.Really, is there anything else to be said? Chi's Sweet Home is OMFG SO KAWAII ^_^.

Allison and Lillia is turning out to be a lovely adventure series with some of the best background music I've heard in a while.Like I said, I haven't watched anything for over three weeks, but these are just my opinions on the stuff I've watched so far.

Well, I've gotten rid of three, that leaves me with just Allison and Lillia, Code Geass, Soul Eater, and Chi's Sweet Home. I heard Lulu every time Kei spoke, and the actual personality I get from those two characters are really different.

  • The characters were all so flat and boring, I couldn't tell any of them apart aside from Kei and HIkari (who are as annoying as hell, by the way).
  • They were all automatically ~better than everyone~ even if all they did was sit around and drink tea.
  • The characters' attitudes really pissed me off.
  • And while those episodes were pretty cool, I can think of better ways to waste my time. I had to force myself to watch the next few episodes. But it was nothing special, and Naoki was getting on my nerves a lot. But the pretty, pretty boys couldn't make up for the fact that it was a silly vampire drama that was getting dangerously close to Twilight territory (Yes, I just read Twilight! It is terrible! But strangely I can't stop reading it!). No more Vampire Knight, Itazura na Kiss, and Special A for me. This time around, I've lightened my watching load by dropping the Great Shoujo Trifecta of '08. This happened last year, too, when I just got too tired of watching anime and had to drop a lot of stuff, and I even had to put the lovely Denno Coil on hold. It may be due to the following things:ġ) I was in New York for two weeks and didn't have access to my desktop computer.Ģ) Then when I got back, I got too lazy to catch up to four weeks' worth of currently airing shows.ģ) David Cook and my ridiculous new obsession with American Idol.Ĥ) The fact that I am running dangerously low on disk space, again. DangodaikazokuI've not watched a lot of anime recently.
